WHAT DOES
DUTY ASK
OF US?
Karelia. September 1942.
A decision that can’t be taken back.
A squad of Finnish soldiers is trying to move forward with a wounded comrade when a captured Soviet prisoner leaves them with a decision they can’t put off. They can’t afford to keep him, and they can’t afford to let him go.
Each option forces the men to weigh the mission against their conscience. Set in Karelia in September 1942, What We Owe is a World War II drama about duty, survival, and what one person owes another.
The film is in pre-production, with filming scheduled for December 2026.
